    • John A. Van Laarhoven, age 55, of De Pere, found peace in the Lord on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. The son of the late Joseph and Laurine (Schmidt) Van Laarhoven was born in 1961 at Sewart Air Force Base in Tennessee. After graduating from Green Bay Southwest High School, John attended NWTI where he received his associate's degree in computer science. Later, he returned to school at Fox Valley Technical College to attain his CDL. John enjoyed being outside where he loved to fish, hike, golf and swim. He also enjoyed attending his two daughters' sporting events and going to concerts with his brother at the Cup 'O Joy.

      Surviving John are his two daughters, Carly and Joely, siblings: Peter, Paul, Michael and Mary Bell (John's twin sister); the mother of his children, JoAnn Bender; nieces: Jessica, Jennifer, Anne and Aymee, as well as great-nieces and nephews, other family and friends.

      Family and friends may visit at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Rd S, Freedom, on Friday, July 15, from 11:00am until 12:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
