    • Thurner, Gladys (Romenesko) 1963 Appleton Post Crescent dated 3/6/1963; Mrs. Nick Thurner, Gladys Romenesko, 2025 North Summit Street, age 54, passed away Sunday at 11:45 p.m. after a nine month illness. She was born March 3rd, 1909 in the town of Freedom and lived in Appleton and vicinity all of her life. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers's Alter Society. Mrs. Thurner is survived by her husband: one daughter, Lila May, and one son, David, both at home; five sisters, Mrs. Barney (Mathilda) Hietpas, Mrs. John (Lillian) Vandynhoven, Mrs. Henry (Florence) Vandynhoven, and Mrs. Harvey (Mary) VanderSteen, all of Kaukauna and Mrs. Alfred (Pauline) Endres, of Appleton; three brothers, John Romenesko, of DePere; Clem Romenesko, of Appleton and Walter Romenesko, of Black Creek. Requiem High Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church internment will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
