Minten, Regina K.
Regina K. Minten, 96, De Pere, passed away peacefully in the presence of her children on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007.
She was born March 2, 1911, in De Pere to the late John and Ann (Schampers) Smits. She married Tony Minten at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. Regina retired from Milprint in 1976. She enjoyed playing Bridge and had belonged to several different Bridge clubs. Regina was a member of the St. Boniface Christian Mothers and the De Pere Women's Club. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Sharon) Minten, Egg Harbor; Paul (Jean) Minten, De Pere; her son-in-law, Daniel Bohm, Green Bay; her nine grandchildren, Donna (David) Karcz, Jeanne (Dan) Baeten, Mitch (Lori) Bohm, Nancy Bohm, Cyndi (Rich) Barrett, Rick (Nancy) Minten, Steve (Wendy) Minten, Jackie (Mike) Crown, Alisa (Byron) Conway; 19 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Regina is also is survived by her sister, Leona Krueger, numerous nieces, nephews, and her great neighbor and friend, Fritz Coenen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; her daughter, Dolores "Dolly" Bohm; and her siblings, Norbert, Marvin, Ceil, and Lilly.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere. Visitation will continue after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive, De Pere. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with Regina's nephew, Fr. Ken Smits O.F.M. Capuchin, officiating and Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem., concelebrating. The family would like to thank Birch Creek Assisted Living for taking loving care of mom. We would also like to thank Dr. Richard Greene and Arleen from his office for their compassion and guidance, and the nurses and chaplain at Aurora, and entire staff at Unity Hospice.
