121 Ravine Street, Little Chute
Age 64, died Sunday, May 28, 1995 at home. He was born March 3, 1931 in Appleton, the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Moerschl) De Bruin. He was married on November 4, 1950 at St. John's Church, Little Chute to Mary Ann Kamps. She preceded him in death on November 20, 1983. He was retired from JJ Plant Corporation after 39 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of the American Legion and a long-time member of St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute. Survivors include three sons: Rick (Cindy) De Bruin, Kimberly; Steve De Bruin, Menasha; Jim De Bruin and Sue, Seymour; three daughters: Carol (Bruce) Springstroh, Little Chute; Janice (Ted) Lamers, Kaukauna; Lynn (Gary) Vanevenhoven; eight grandchildren: Becky Lamers, Tim Lamers, Jason Lamers, Amanda Lamers, Nikki Springstroh, Jessi Vanevenhoven, Adam Vanevenhoven and Matthew De Bruin; a brother, Ronald De Bruin; a sister, Christine (Michael) Zwiers; a brother-in-law, John (Buddy) and Marilyn Kamps; three sisters-in-law: Rose and Denis Stoffel, Jayne and Roger Schimmers, Joyce and Dick Denil; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and his sister, Rosemary. Funeral services will be at St. John Catholic Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Doerfler officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with a 6 p.m. prayer service. Legion visitation will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Military rites will follow the service on Thursday. Visitation will also be on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Dad loved walking and feeding the birds in his yard. Dad was a loving Father and Grandfather who will be greatly missed by everyone who's life he touched.
