      Age 61, died on Wednesday evening, August 22, 1990 after a brief fight with cancer. She was born November 6, 1928 in Appleton, daughter of the late Francis and Anna Fischer. She graduated from St. Edward School in Mackville in 1942. Virginia married Adrian H. Arens on Feburary 28, 1949 and traveled with him during his Air Force career, finally settling in Appleton in 1975. She is survived by two daughters: Helen (Michael) Bera, Genessee, Wisconsin; Monica Arens, Appleton; three sons: Richard (Kathi) Arens, Wyndotte, Michigan; charles Arens, Appleton; David Arens, Milwuakee; further survived by five grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbanc Adrian in 1985; a daughter, Rose Mary; and a son, Robert. Funeral Mass for Virginia will be Saturday, August 25, 1990 at 10 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2525 E. Lourdes Dr., Appleton , with Father Terry LaCombe officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemberty, Appleton. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 4 until 8 p.m. and also Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until the cortege leaves for the church. Prayer and scripture service will be 6 p.m. Friday. A memorial fund is being established.
