- Doris "Do-Dee" M. Raymaker, age 90, of Combined Locks, passed away at Appleton Medical Center on Thursday, April 12, 2012, with her family at her side. Do-Dee was born on June 25, 1921, in Shawano, to the late William and Minnie (Sperberg) Cotter. She married Ervin Speering, on April 27, 1940; he preceded her in death. Do-Dee married John Raymaker on June 25, 1988. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Do-Dee was employed as a supervisor at Fox River Knitting Mills for 23 years and was a member of VFW Auxiliary of Combined Locks. She was an avid Packer fan, an accomplished fisherwoman, and a strong supporter of the Red River Quilting Event.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, John; her daughter-in-law, Jeanne Speering; her grandchildren, Laurie (Perry) Peterman, Duane (Lisa) Speering, Jr., Michelle (Jamie) Lyons, and Brian Speering (friend Heather Speering); her great grandchildren, Jeremy (Jennifer) Peterman, Melissa (Paul) Schraufnagel, Ashley (Sergio) Meraz, Kyle Speering, Amanda Lyons, Zachary Lyons, Courtney Lyons, Jackson Lyons and Abbey Speering; her great great grandchildren, Addison Meraz and Ariyana Peterman; her sister, Lila Switzer; John's sisters, Martha Leiterman, Jeanette Schuh and Mary Riehl. Do-Dee is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Duane Speering, Sr, her siblings, Orville Cotter, Louis Cotter, Aurellia Dallman, Verbina Lehman, Art Cotter, Earl Cotter, Viola Sperberg, Rueben Cotter, Harris Cotter, her twin Dorothy Marcks, Mildred Haefke, Roger Cotter, Mary Lou Cotter; and John's siblings, Anna, Nellie, Frances, Albert, Joseph, Peter, James and William.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 East Wallace Street, Combined Locks, with Fr. Bob Vandenberg officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. A memorial has been established in her name. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses at ICU at AMC for their loving care.
