Age 84, died Sunday afternoon (her favorite day of the week) February 28, 1993 at Granbury, Texas. She had been visiting her daughter, Mel when she became ill and was hospitalized. She was born June 29, 1908 in Little Chute, the daughter of the late John and Hattie (Vanden Heuvel) Van Dinter. On June 6, 1928 she married George Van Zeeland. Josephine will be reatly missed by all of her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother, setting an example for all and her six living children were proud to call her "Mom". Thanks, Mom for always being there for us. Thanks for your encouraging outlook on life and your gentle smile. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly most of her married life. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law: Gerald and Janice Van Zeeland, Kimberly; Melvin and Doris Van Zeeland, Kaukauna; four daughters and four sons-in-law: Imelda (Mel) and George Zelinski, Granbury, Texas; Janice and Don Gloudemans, Kimberly; Sharon and Dave Geurden, Oshkosh; Marijo and Gary Van Gomple, Appleton. Josephine touched her grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. She will be sorely missed by all her 18 grandchildren: Linda, Jeff, Dan, Susan and Tod; Mark, Scott, Julie, Larry, Karen, Bruce, Gary, Terri Sue, Steve, Tammy, Stacy, Andy and Ryan and her 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1959; twin daughters, Sharon and Karen; a great-granddaughter, Melissa Nechodom; two brothers: Peter and Edward; two sisters: Anne and Josephine. The funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly with the Rev. David Koch officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Friends may call at the Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home 204 E. Kimberly Ave. . Kimberly from 4 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and after 8:30 on Thursday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established for Holy Name Parish.
