    • Gerald J. "Jerry" Van Zeeland, Kimberly, age 88, died Saturday, July 29, 2017. He was born on March 11, 1929 to the late George and Josephine (Van Dinter) Van Zeeland. He graduated from the Kimberly High School class of 1947 and on August 7, 1952, married Janice Schroeder at St. Therese Church in Appleton. He was a Korean War veteran, a member of the William Verhagen American Legion Post 60 and Christ the King Lutheran Church, where he ushered for many years. An avid hunter and fisher, Jerry enjoyed pursuing these hobbies with his sons, Uncle Pete Van Dinter and the Buchholtz brothers. He worked as a Finish Carpenter, retiring from The Boldt Company in 1986. After retirement Jerry enjoyed listening to Polka music, especially his all-time favorite The Carpenters Polka.

      Jerry is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Janice; sons: Jeffrey (Cheri) of Kaukauna and Dan (Lynn) of Appleton; grandchildren: Jason (Micki) Van Offeren, Michelle (Charles) Martin, Betsy (Nathan Van Schyndel) Van Zeeland, Ryan (Jasmine Linn) Van Zeeland and Brandon (Kathleen) Van Zeeland; great grandchildren: Gavin Bessette, Preston and Isaac Van Offeren and Harper Martin; sisters: Imelda (George) Zelinski and Sharon (David) Geurden; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary Van Gomple, Doris Van Zeeland, Beverly Frahm, Keith Gonyea and Arley Relien. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Van Offeren; Janice's parents, Lawrence and Marcella (Klumpers) Schroeder; siblings: Janice Gloudemans, Melvin Van Zeeland, Marijo Van Gomple, infant twins Sharon and Karen; and niece, Tammy Geurden.

      Visitation will be held August 10, 2017 at CHRIST THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH (601 S. Washington St. Combined Locks) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until time of Funeral at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Nate Gauerke will officiate. Military rites, conducted by the William Verhagen American Legion Post 60, will immediately follow. Committal Highland Memorial Park.
