- Mildred Joyce "Millie" Jansen
September 4, 1921 to June 17, 2013
Mildred was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where later she married Paul M. Jansen at her home parish, St. Peter and Paul on April 24, 1941. When they moved to Darboy, she became very involved in parish life. Mildred helped with the church picnics, school committees, parish council, bible study, religious education and visiting the sick. She was a lifelong student of scriptures. Mildred was also a long time member and a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Leo Van Roy Post #265.
Mildred was a kind and gentle woman who accepted everyone just the way they were and appreciated the uniqueness of each individual.
Mildred is survived by her three daughters: Olivia (Joe) Wittmann, Patricia Jansen, Paula (Ralph II) Johnson; 11 grandchildren: Joseph, Paul, John (Lori), Richard, Linda Jo (John), Laura (Max), Michael, Ralph III (Becky), Lisa, Michelle (Nate) and Kurt; 17 great grandchildren; a sister, LaVerne Lauder and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Schuh.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Celia (St. Germaine) Dugan; a sister, Victoria Howard; and her former husband, Paul M. Jansen.
Visitation will be at Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Angels, Darboy, W2796 Cty. Hwy. KK, Appleton, WI, Friday June 21, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass at 11:30 a.m., with Fr. Donald Zulegar officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy.
