    • Joseph P "Joe" Wimberger

Joe Wimberger, age 72, passed away with his wife Barb at his side, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton on May 22, 2014. Joe was born on July 31, 1941 to Sylvester and Marie Wimberger and lived in the area his entire life. After high school, Joe joined the United States Army to serve his country. On October 6, 1972, he married Barbara Draheim and they shared forty-two years together. Joe had several jobs, but his favorite was tending the dams on Oneida Street for Fox River Papers. Joe had a love for classical music that was instilled in him by his Aunt Ceal (Gene). Joe was a man of few words, and he loved shopping for treasures that became a part of his home or maybe even on the dams he operated.

Joe is survived by his wife: Barbara; his sisters: Mary (Bill) Van Lankvelt and her children Jeff (Tracy), Michelle (Neal), and Ryan (Molly); Phyllis (David) Brandtmeier and her children: Angie (Travis), Heather (Lee), and Kayla; his brothers: Cyril "Wimpy" (Nancy), James, and John; his nephews: Lee, Dillin, Noah, and Matthew; a sister-in-law: Margaret (Irving) Surprise and family; and a brother-in-law: Marvin (Gladys) Draheim and family. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Sylvester and Marie Wimberger, Barb's parents Arnold and Lucille Draheim, and by two infant sisters.

In keeping with Joe's wishes, no service will be held.

      Love always, your family.
