Age 57, died unexpectedly of a rare arterial disease referred to as Mayamoya on Thursday, October 5, 2000. She was born July 2, 1943, to the late C. Walter and Ethel E. [Valley] Newberg in Eveleth, Minnesota. She married Milo Van Oudenhoven in Appleton on July 17, 1965. She took great pride in her family. She enjoyed and supported her son's racing. She also enjoyed crocheting, cooking and working on crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Milo, Appleton; a daughter, Kay [Mark] Ashauer, Kaukauna; a son, Jeff [Dawn] Van Oudenhoven, Kimberly; two brothers, Marvin [Janice] Newberg, Forbes, Minnesota; and Delbert Newberg, Big Falls, Minnesota; very special friends, Sue [Tom] Steffen; a sister in-law, Beverly [Wade] Leuthold; and a brother in-law, Wallace [Loretta] Hersant and Robert [Betty] Besette; also man friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant sister, Arline; a niece and a nephew.
Joyce's funeral service will be Monday, October 9, 2000 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jennifer DeNetz officiating. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
