Jansen, Mary Frances Lom (nee Benotch) Mary Jansen, Combined Locks, entered eternal life on Jan. 4, 2008. She was born Aug. 15, 1922, to Joseph and Anna (Regenfuss) Benotch in Kaukauna. Mary was united in marriage to Clifford C. Lom on Feb. 3, 1945, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1949. On Aug. 29, 1953, Mary was united in marriage to Raymond J. Jansen at St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks. He preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1959. Mary was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, where she was a religious education teacher for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Mission Society and the Altar Society. In her younger years, Mary enjoyed bowling on the Alley Cats League. She was a master puzzle builder, was a whiz at crossword puzzles and could play a mean game of scrabble, not to mention a good game of sheepshead.
She is survived by four daughters, Vicky Beyer, Pam (Mike) Wiegert, Kitty Peeters and Jackie (Don Szydel) Murillo; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mary is further survived by three sisters, Margaret Bergman, Mildred (Robert) Krueger and Alice Benotch.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Benotch, Jr.; granddaughter, Sara Wiegert; son-in-law, John L. Peeters; and brother-in-law, John Bergman.
The funeral liturgy for Mary will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace Street, Combined Locks, with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Family and friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass.
