      Joosten, Erma A.
      Joosten, Erma A., age 88, of Appleton, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 6, 2008. Erma was born in the Town of Buchanan on March 16, 1919, to the late William and Laura (Berghuis) Emmers. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and for 7 years she worked at Appleton Wire Works. On April 22, 1950, she married Richard Joosten, who preceded her in death on September 4, 1991. Erma also worked seasonally for Stokely-VanCamps for 5 years. Family was very important to Erma. She loved to spend time babysitting her grandchildren. Erma also loved to crochet.

      Erma is lovingly survived by her children: Linda (Terry) Hulbert of Menasha, David (Debra) Joosten of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandchildren: Tanya, Terry Jr., Jason and Bryan Hulbert, Terra (Shawn) Gatzemeyer, Heather Joosten, great-grandchild: Laura Pingel; sisters: Irene Ruys, Alma (Henry) Dictus, Rita (Martin) Brock; sisters-in-law: Alice Joosten, Pauline Joosten, Virginia (Donald) Haese and numerous nieces and nephews.

      Erma is preceded in death by two infant sisters, brothers-in-law: Albert Ruys, Walter Joosten, Edward Joosten, Jerome Joosten, Stanley Joosten, Ed Bastian, John Jurek, Eugene Kosmosky: sisters-in-law: Martha Bastian, Rosella Jurek and Marian Kosmosky.

      Erma's family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice, Gretchen Peterson, Erika Turrubiates and all the staff and clergy at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for all their love and support.

      Funeral Services for Erma will be held at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton, on Monday, March 10, 2008, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel, 3212 S. Oneida Street, Appleton, on March 9, 2008, from 3:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again at church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
