- Margaret "Marge" M. Lotto, 90, Green Bay resident, passed away on Monday evening, April 29, 2013. She was born on June 25, 1922 to the late Albert and Anna (Van Dyke) Hutjens. On June 1, 1946, she married Myron "Mike" Lotto.
In addition to helping on the family farm, Marge worked as an associate at the HC Prange Co. for twenty years. She then volunteered at St. Vincent Hospital and more recently at St. Vincent de Paul. Marge was a 4-H leader for many years. Among the crafts she taught was sewing and loved passing on her expertise to others. Marge was not to be left out of the family musical circle; she could sing country music and especially yodel with the best until she lost part of her voice in thyroid surgery. She stood by her husband all the years he was involved in politics in addition to being an excellent mother to the family of seven. Marge loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She remained active, tobogganing, ice skating, playing ball and board games with them until the end.
She is survived by her husband, Myron "Mike" Lotto, Green Bay; children, Michael (Diane) Lotto, Greenleaf; Nancy (Jim) Pierce, Kansas City, MO; Cindy (Steve) Otto, Neenah; Diane (Larry) Studley, Tucson, AZ; Mary Lou (Rick) Kidd; Bernie (Janet) and Denis, all of Green Bay; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Germaine Hutjens, De Pere; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her identical twin sister, Mary Becker; sister, Sr. Josephine Hutjens; brothers, Hank, Norb, Sylvester, Ed and Joe Hutjens.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church - Glenmore, 5840 Big Apple Road, De Pere, after 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Ron Colombo officiating. Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Pine Grove. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.
