Angela C. Hooyman
The Renaissance, Appleton
Age 83, died on Sunday, March 8, 1998. Angela was born on January 24, 1913 in Little Chute, to the late Arnold and Nettie [Hammen] Joosten. She married Nicholas Hooyman on June 18, 1935 in Little Chute; he died February 9, 1981. Angela was a homemake. She was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a member of the Christian Mothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn [Jack] Kottke, Greenville; a son, Ron [Judy] Hooyman, Appleton; a brother, Joseph [Rita] Joosten, Kaukauna; a sister, Mary Daanen, DePere; nine grandchildren, Mike [Ellen] Hooyman; Steve [Mary] Hooyman; Tom [Vonnie] Hooyman; Kathy [Brian] Loenhardt; Kris [Brian] Sobezak; Mark Kottle; Barb [Rich] Bocik; Nick Hooyman; and Andy Hooyman; 16 great grandchildren; a daughter in-law, Jean Hooyman; and three sisters in-law, Frances Behnke; Marion Hurley; and Agnes Vanden Heuvel.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ervan Hooyman; six brothers, Arthur, Clarence, Walter, Gerald 'Jack', George, and Wilbert; three sisters, Alma Wyro; Geraldine Joosten; and Alice Schwalenberg.
The complete funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 1998 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton wiht Father Donald Zuleger officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and again directly at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial has been established in her name.
