    • Andrew (Andy) W. Albers, 97 died Friday February 22, 2013 at a local nursing home after a short illness. He was born January 3, 1916 in De Pere to the late Henry and Minnie (Coenen) Albers. On August 9, 1938 he married Orilla Geurts and spent 71 years together until Orilla's death in 2010. Andrew and Orilla farmed in rural Wrightstown until 1958 when they moved to Ashwaubenon where Andrew still resided. Andrew was employed by Consolidated Dairy until his retirement in 1986. For many years after continued to work part time at Nativity of Our Lord Parish as a custodian until 1989. Andrew continued his Catholic ministry in many ways at Nativity until 2006.

      Andrew is survived by two children, Patricia (Thomas) Biskner, Howard and Arthur (Karla) Albers, West De Pere. He is further survived by six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Anne (Michael) Macco and children Andrew and Sophia, Joan (Grant W.) Wery and daughters Hayle and Emily, Krakow, Jon (Jennifer) Biskner and sons Brandon, Ayden, and Ashton, Howard, Mary (Robert)Bourin and children Emma, Abigail, and Bennett, Howard, James(Kendra) Albers and son Tate, Franksville, Wi, and Kevin Albers, San Francisco, Ca. He is also survived by two brothers and sister-in-laws, Ben (Lee) Albers, De Pere and Robert (Delores) Albers, Appleton, and sister in law Dorothy Wicker, West De Pere, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

      Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, sons John in 1949, Arnold in 1950, grandson Andrew Albers in 1980, and sisters Patricia (in infancy) and Bernice Albers. Also preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law Leo(Beatrice) Albers, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Frank (Ophelia) Geurts, Elmer (Lillian) Geurts, Leo(Marie) Geurts, Robert (Esther) Geurts, Ernest (Florence) Geurts, Bernard (Evelyn) Geurts, Clarence (Mary) Geurts, Viola(Wilburt) Leiterman, Marcella(Harvey) Seiler, Teresa(Conrad) Elfe and brother-in-law Ignatius "Bud" Wicker, father and mother-in-law Arnold and Anna Geurts.

      Visitation for Andrew will be Thursday February 28, 2013 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, corner of Oneida St. and Cormier Rd., Green Bay from 9:00am until the time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM at church with Fr. John "Jack" H. Harper officiating. Burial will occur in spring at St. Paul Cemetery Wrightstown.
