      Lorraine Calhoun Hauch, age 87, died Friday, July 21, 2006, at Franciscan Woods, in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Lorraine was born on May 27, 1919, in Waukegan, Illinois, to the late Alvin and Elva (Rassmussen) Calhoun. She married Dr. Francis M. Hauch; he preceded her in death on October 21, 1985. Lorraine was well-known for her active participation in community affairs, especially her volunteering efforts at the Outagamie County Library and the Outagamie County Historical Society. She was an avid reader, a world traveler and long-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Piette, Delafield, Wisconsin; her sons, Dr. James (Marie) Hauch, Boardman, Ohio, and Richard Hauch (Toni Ciccanti), Seattle, Washington; her grandchildren, Julie (Brian) DiFuccia, Brian Larson, James Hauch and Nick Hauch. Funeral services will at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 South State Street, Appleton, with Fr. Bob Lexa officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial has been established in Lorraine's name to benefit Franciscan Woods in Brookfield.
