  From Little Chute, Monday of last week died Frank DeGroot, one of the first settlers, age about 95 years. A widow, a son Joseph and 2 daughters, Mrs. John Derks, and Mrs. Katie Bernards in Oregon survive him. Thursday burial. Mr. DeGroot came in 1846 with Father VandenBroek to this land.
