Frank, Marie E. Marie Frank of Appleton passed away at the Appleton Medical Center on Friday morning, April 20, 2007. She was born in Shawano, Wisconsin, to the late William and Ellen (Dietzler) Baumgarten. Marie was a graduate of the Kaukauna High School and the Outagamie County Rural Normal School. She married Jerome Frank on June 6, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1982. For seventeen years, Marie taught at a variety of rural schools, but for over forty years taught elementary school in Appleton. Most of those years were spent in the first-grade classroom at Lincoln Elementary.
Marie is survived by a brother, Raymond (Mildred) Baumgarten, Kaukauna; a sister, Dorothy Milbach, Kaukauna; a sister-in-law, Helen Baumgarten, Texas; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerome in 1982, Brothers Marvin, William, Elmer (Faye), Bob, and Edward (Carmen); sisters Esther (Roy) Cropsey, Florence (George) Anderson, and Marian (Kenneth) Juse; and a brother-in-law Nick Milbach.
The funeral liturgy for Marie will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2007, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 W. 7th Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 7 p.m. and again at the church on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the many friends and family members who remembered Marie with their frequent visits, many prayers, and kind thoughts.
