Kirvan, Elsie
Elsie Kirvan, formerly of Sherwood, age 90, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, in Sparta, WI. She was born May 1, 1917, in Milston, WI, daughter of the late Foster and Grace (Moore) McGinnis. At age 16, Elsie married Dave Kirvan in Ladysmith, WI. Following their marriage, they moved to the Kaukauna area. For fifteen years following her husband's death, Elsie operated the Triangle Tap in Kaukauna, retiring in 1983.
She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law: Dick (Diane), Don (Molly), all of Kaukauna; Dave (Nancy), South Carolina; a daughter and son-in-law: Darlene (Gene) Haues, Kendall, WI; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, a brother, Jack (Lucille) McGinnis, Warens, WI; special companion, "Sammy," numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave; two daughters and a son-in-law: Shirley Kirvan, Elsie Ann (Bob) Jones; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Kirvan, and close friend, Larry McGee.
Funeral Services for Elsie will be at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2008, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, with Rev. Timothy Albrecht officiating. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in her name. 920-766-2099.
