      Verhagen, James E.
      James E. Verhagen, age 71, of Grand Chute, died unexpectedly, Thursday morning, July 6, 2006. He was born February 3, 1935, to the late John and Henrietta (Jennerjohn) Verhagen, in Little Chute and had been a resident of Grand Chute for the past five and a half years. Jim had been self-employed in heating and air conditioning and owned Quality Heating and Air, retiring in 1999. Following his retirement he was employed by Baer Paints & Supplies. Jim enjoyed being with his family and friends, going to Florida, his old car, 1957 Mercury and his monthly breakfast with his friends at the Golden Basket. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

      He is survived by his wife, Darleen B. (Tibbetts) Verhagen, to whom he had been married for 44 years; two daughters, Tina (Michael) Holewinski, Hortonville; Jill (Bryan) Diana, Kimberly; three grandchildren: Taylor, Sydney and Michaela Holewinski; a sister, Rose Marie Weyenberg, Darboy; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Frank, Darboy; three nieces, Carol Feldkamp, Lynn Sigfried and Pam Boyea; four nephews, Bill and Dan Weyenberg, Ted Frank and Lonnie Tesch.

      He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Ray Weyenberg and Ted Frank.

      The funeral service for James will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2006, at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 912 North Oneida Street, with Reverend Wendy Wirth-Brock officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m., Saturday, until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
