    • Judith E. Kenney, age 80, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2014 with family at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna.

      Judy was born in Appleton, on June 30, 1934, to parents John and Mary (Verhagen) Hietpas. She graduated from St. John's High School in Little Chute in 1952, Mercy School of Nursing in Oshkosh in 1955 and received her Baccalaureate degree from Milton College. Judy was employed as a registered nurse at the Kaukauna Community Hospital where she also held several administrative positions.

      Judy and Pat Kenney married on July 5, 1958 and resided in Kaukauna. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, camping, her many pets and spending time at her sister's cottage in Winneconne. Her greatest passion was for her children and family.

      Judy is survived by her husband Pat Kenney, brother John Hieptas, brother-in-law Dan Mayer, four children, Colleen and Dave Schmidt of Appleton, Don and Lynn (Berglin) Kenney of Madison, Dan and Kathy (Kempen) Kenney of Darboy and Dave and Sally (Fassbender) Kenney of Kaukauna, ten grandchildren: Travis, Trevor, Trenton, and Turner Schmidt; Theresa and Steve Kenney; Laura and Alysa Kenney; Tyler and Mariah Kenney.

      She is preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Hietpas, her sister Christine "Chris" Mayer and sister-in-law Toni Hietpas.

      A funeral liturgy for Judy will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL, ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 W. Seventh Street, Kaukauna. Fr. Jerry Pastors will be officiating. Entombment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Appleton. A time of visitation will be held on Monday at the Fargo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until the prayer service at 7:00 pm, and again at the church from 9:00 am until the time of mass.       The family thanks Dr. Michael Werner at the Kaukauna Clinic, and the staff at St. Paul Elder Services and Hospice Care, for the great care they provided for Judy.
