- Lawrence H. Stephani, 82, of Black Creek, passed away Tuesday morning, October 6, 2015 at Good Shepard Nursing Home in Seymour. He was born October 29, 1932, son of the late Jacob and Lorinda (Beyer) Stephani. On November 24, 1955, he was united in marriage to Delores Weiland.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Black Creek. He farmed on his homestead farm.
Survivors include his wife, Delores; children: Terry Stephani, James (Robin) Stephani, Steven Stephani, Vicki Stephani, and Dennis (Karen) Stephani; grandchildren: Amy (Joe) Ciochetto, Nicole Stepani (fiancé, Johnathan Gilmore), Joseph (Danielle) Stephani, Rodney (Paula) Stephani, Eric (Becky) Stephani, Dr. Jennifer Stephani (David) McCarthy, Cory Stephani, Jessica Stephani, Dillon Stephani, Brock Stephani, Amanda (Kenneth) Henneman, Carson Stephani, Hope Stephani, Lucia Stephani; great-grandchilren: Sienna Ciochetto, Lila Ciochetto, Mia Ciochetto, Landon Stephani, Isabella Stephani and Audrianna Stephani. siblings: Eugene Stephani, Florence McCarthy, Delores (Arnie) Strauch, Joyce (Dr. Vern) Manthei, Roselyn Mauthe, Kathleen (James) Fischer, and LaVerne (Ronald) Cropsey; sister-in-law, Lavina Stephani. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Raquel;sister, Elvera Maroszek; brothers, Ervin and Romy Stephani.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. and visitation will continue at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Black Creek on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
