      Gee, Nancy Mary
Nancy Gee died October 20, 2006. Born August 20, 1963, in Milwaukee, WI, she grew up in Appleton, WI. She attended the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where she studied political science. She then completed the paralegal program at Roosevelt University in Chicago. She moved to St. Paul in 1987 and began her career as a paralegal. She met her husband Steve in September of 1992, and they married in 1995. They enjoyed running together, travel, fine food, being with friends and family, and great music. Nancy was profoundly connected to people. Her abundant relationships were marked by her remarkable compassion and talents, and a graceful humility. Nancy helped all who knew her to remember to have fun, to fight fiercely for the underdog, and to live with a heart wide open. She was a bright, bright star, dimmed far too early.

Surviving are her husband, Steve Nordgaard, parents, Ralph and Carol Gee, sister, Kate Gee (Steve Bennett), brother, David Gee (Lori), much adored nephews, Alex and Zach Gee, father and mother-in-law, Glen and Judy Nordgaard, sister-in-law, Kathy Nordgaard, sister-in-law, Sue Nordgaard-Amundsen (Thom), much adored nephew, Alex, and niece, Elizabeth Amundsen, and Jasper, yellow lab extraordinaire. And, more friends than Carter's has pills.

The memorial service will be held at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, 5000 West 50th Street and Highway 100, Edina, MN, 55436. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. with the service to follow at 2. p.m. The family plans to surreptitiously scatter ashes in private ceremonies at the UW-Madison Memorial Union, and on an undisclosed beach in Mexico.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to your local Humane Society, and the UW Comprehensive Cancer Center.
