    • Frank J. Vander Zanden, 82, of 925 N. 17th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, Dec. 16, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
      Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Parkside Funeral Home and 12 noon at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Leo J. Schmitt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
      Mr. Vander Zanden was born June 11, 1897, at Green Bay, son of the late Jacob and Wilhelmina Vander Zanden. He married Olga Zibell Aug. 10, 1920, at Green Bay. He worked with his father and brothers at E.J. Vander Zanden and Sons Jewelers in Green Bay until coming to Manitowoc in 1935, where he acquired the Fehrs Jewelry Store which he owned and operated until his brief illness. Mr. Vander Zanden was one of the original founders of Oneida Country Club at Green Bay, and was a member of Branch River Country Club, Manitowoc Elks Lodge 687 and Holy Innocents Catholic Church.
      Survivors include his wife, Olga, two daughters, Mary Douglas of Indian Wells, Calif., and Suzanne Freyer of Manitowoc; two brothers, Ed and Norbert Vander Zanden of Green Bay; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Cooper of Green Bay and Sister Rose Margaret of St. Louis, Mo., five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
      Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday evening, where a prayer service will be said at 7:30 o'clock by Deacon Kenneth Nelesen.
