    • Mrs. Joseph Gresl, 71, died at the Gresl home at Whitelaw at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, after suffering a stroke Sunday.
      Funeral services will be held from the home at 9:30 a.m. Monday, and at 10 a.m. from St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw, with the Rev. J.W. Husslein officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The remains were removed today from the Pfeffer funeral home to the Gresl home, where they may be viewed until the time of the services Monday.
      Mrs. Gresl was born September 17, 1871, the former Sophia Grall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Grall. She was married on June 19, 1888 to Joseph Gresl. The Gresls had lived at Whitelaw since 1935, and Mrs. Gresl was a
      member of St. Michael's church and the Christian Mothers' society there.
      Mr. and Mrs. Gresl celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1938. Members of the Christian mothers' society will recite the rosary at the Gresl home Sunday at 3 p.m. and Father Husslein will lead a rosary recitation at
      7 p.m. Sunday.
      Surviving Mrs. Gresl are the widower; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Pritzl, Mrs. Alois Griesbach and Mrs. Theodore Schmit of Greenville and Mrs. Harvey Denk of Cato; six sons, Frank of Goodrich, George and Alfred of Appleton, Joseph Jr., of Cato, and Wilbert and Oscar of Whitelaw; a brother, Ignatz Grall of Whitelaw; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Zipperer, Mrs. Frank Braun and Mrs. Wolfgang Meyer, all of Whitelaw.
      Also surviving are 46 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
