Age 79, died at 12 noon Thursday after a brief illness. She was born September 14, 1902, in Freedom. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Society, the Mission Society, the Royal Neighbors, St. Vincent de Paul, Third Order of St. Francis, Little Chute Golden Agers, Homemakers, and numerous prayer groups. Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law; Jean and Henry Grosek, Appleton; Yvonne Hietpas, Little Chute; Beverly and Harold Mischler, Kaukauna; Ione French, West De Pere; two sons and daughters-in-law: Roger andEunice, Oshkosh; Robert and Terri, Kimberly; two brothers: Elmer F. Vandenberg, Kaukauna; Merle Vandenberg, Kimberly; three sisters: Mrs. Jane Meyer, Appleton; Mrs. Florence DeMunck, Kimberly; Mrs. Jasper (Myrtle) Liebergen, Wrightstown; 43 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; six brothers: John, Joseph, Vincent, Gordon, Ted and Aloys; four sisters: Ella Hooyman, Rosella Van Asten, Agnes De Bruin, Angeline Pairon; a son-in-law, Dean French; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church, with the Rev. Monsignor James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. There will be a St. Elizabeth Society and Golden Agers Rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Friday.
