- Daniel A. Conradt, age, 85 of Shawano, formerly of the Township of Navarino, Shawano County, passed away Thursday morning, July 14, 2011 at the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville. "Dan" was born on June 30, 1926 in Shiocton, the son of the late Louis and Augusta (Buss) Conradt. He served in the Army Air Corps between 1945 through 1946. Served again in the U.S. Army between 1952 through 1954 returning to the Township of Navarino. Dan worked at the F.W.D. Corporation, Clintonville for one year and then at the Kimberly Clark Paper Corporation, Neenah for over thirty seven years until retirement.
Dan was a master heckler. His other hobbies included deer hunting, fishing, cooking maple syrup with his brothers and busting a twenty and socializing at the casino's. He was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church, Township of Navarino, Shawano County where he served as usher.
Survivors include: his sister-in-law: Irene Yunk, Townsend, WI, and numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, Lena at birth, Evelyn Conradt, Dorothy Schmidt and Elvira Feller, 5 brothers, Elmer, Vilas, Norman, Wilbert "Web" and his twin brother, David Conradt.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M., Saturday, July 16, 2011 the Ascension Lutheran Church, Township of Navarino, Shawano County with the Rev. Jon M. Paquette officiating. Interment will be in the Bovina Cemetery, Township of Bovina, Outagamie County. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 1 P.M. until the time of the service.
Military honors will be held at the church following the funeral service. Memorial may be directed to the Ascension Lutheran Church, Township of Navarino.
