Josephine (Vanden Heuvel) Hietpas
Age 92, Franciscan Care Center, formerly of Little Chute, died peacefully on Friday, July 25, 1997. She born January 6, 1905. She married Norbert Hietpas on June 7, 1937, and they farmed in the village of Little Chute until their retirement in 1966. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and was honored as a 50-year member of St. Elizabeth Society.
She is survived by a daugher and a son in-law, Arlene and Cal Kaufman, Wisconsin Rapids; four sons and daughters in-laws; Carl and Lois Hietpas, Little Chute; Leo and Karen Hietpas, Green Bay; Eugene and Marjorie Hietpas, Green Bay; Gregory and Elizabeth Hietpas, Milwaukee; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; one brother and sister in-law, Eddy and Tress Vanden Heuvel; four sisters in-law, Clara Vanden Heuvel, Mildred Vanden Heuvel, Rose Vanden Heuvel, and Gertie Hietpas.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Henry Hietpas in 1932 and Norbert in 1989; two sisters and brothers in-law; Hattie and Al Wynboom, Ella and Hank Vander Loop; five brothers and three sisters in-law; Ted and Ann, Pete and Margaret, John and Gert, Chris and Si Vanden Heuvel; brothers in-law; Jack Hietpas; Ann and Leonard De Coster, Minnie and Ray Diedrick, Ted and Margaret Hietpas, Dory and Omar Liebergen, Josephine and Joe Evers, Laura and Peter Coenen, Marcella and Alohonse Coenen.
Visitation will be at the Verkuilen Funeral Sunday July 27, 1997 from 4-8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday July 28, 1997 at 10 AM at St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute, with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
