Milhaupt, Kenneth J. Kenneth J. Milhaupt, New London, age 85, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 23, 2006, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. Kenneth was born on June 2, 1920, in Appleton son of the late Leo and Florence (Bootz) Milhaupt. He attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Appleton High School in 1938. On August 2, 1947, Kenneth married Jane Gee in Appleton. Kenneth worked for City Service Oil all of his working life, retiring in 1981. He was a resident of Menomonee Falls from 1971- 1997, then moved to Ruskin, Florida, for nine years and in 2005 moved to New London. Kenneth served his country in the US Army for four years in the Armored Division under General Patton. He was a member of the American Legion Norris Spencer Post in New London. Kenneth was also a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. He was a volunteer in Menomonee Falls for the Healthcare Center, food pantry and was very active in many church activities. Kenneth was a devoted husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife, Jane, two sons, Mark (Carol Lee) Milhaupt, New London; Tom (Joann) Milhaupt, Neenah; a daughter, Barbara Fitzgerald, Milwaukee; brothers: Richard Milhaupt, Appleton; Lawrence (Joan) Milhaupt, Appleton; two sisters, Jean (Al) Mory, Appleton; and Peggy DeStefen, Illinois. Further surviving Kenneth are 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, also a brother in-law, Artie Hofkens, Appleton and sister in-laws, Betty Milhaupt, Appleton and Augusta Milhaupt, North Carolina.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Florence, step-mother, Mary Milhaupt, a sister, Winnie Hofkens and three brothers: Leo, Robert and Donald.
Funeral services for Kenneth will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery in Appleton, military graveside rites will be held. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service at 10:30 a.m.
