      Age 67, died Monday afternoon after a brief illness. He was born April 15, 1908 in Kaukauna. He was a World War II Veteran and had farmed in Freedom area until 1960. He also worked as custodian at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna until 1970. Mr. Ebben was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Kaukauna American Legion Post No. 41.

      He is survived by a brother, Aloysius; a sister, Mrs. Mary Petermichel, both of Kaukauna; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.

      The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with the Rev. Roy Crain officiating. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Freedom. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday. There will be an American Legion Service at 7 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
