- Norma J. Rickert, 66, Green Bay resident, died unexpectedly Friday, April 27, 2012 at a local hospital. She was born October 13, 1945 in Sturgeon Bay to Gladys (Destree) Jenquin and the late Norman Jenquin. Norma attended Southern Door High School graduating in 1963. She married David Berger on November 28, 1963 in Brussels. He preceded her in death October 21, 1998. Norma then married Tom Rickert on November 8, 2001 in Green Bay.
She worked as a seamstress in Green Bay and practiced her trade for 50 years. Norma purchased her first sewing machine with money she earned picking cherries in Door County. She was a member of the Freedom VFW Women's Auxilliary Post #7692. Norma enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. She will always be remembered as a kind and gentle woman, loved by all. Norma was a member of St. Agnes Parish.
She is survived by her husband Tom and her children: Carren (Randy) Quaintance and John (Julie) Berger, all of Clintonville; four grandchildren: Josh (Amber-Ann) and Amber Quaintance and her fiancée Zach Olmsted; Justin and Michael Berger; her mother, Gladys Jenquin, Green Bay; Tom's family: Rock (Wendy) and Rory (Wendy) Rickert, all of Arizona; Renee (Arif) Zaman, Verona and Remy (LeiAn) Rickert, EauClaire; two sisters, Linda (Leroy) Zellner, Green Bay and Elaine (Tom) Burzinski, Howard; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. from 4-8 pm Monday. Parish wake service 7:00 pm Monday. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 9th St., after 10:00 am until time of Mass. Funeral Mass 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Dane Radecki and Rev.
