    • Appleton - Sandra Rose Paltzer, 67, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at home. Sandy was born on October 29, 1950 to Kenneth Sr and Alvina (Bretthauer) Schnese in Appleton. On April 4, 1981 she was united in marriage to Alfred Paltzer. Sandy worked at Tuttle Press then in retail at Hebergers and Good'n Natural. She found her passion working at the YMCA as a reflexologist and Jin Shin Jyutsu (the art of gentle touch) practitioner. Sandy enjoyed cooking, and the holistic lifestyle. She also liked motorcycle touring with Al, playing cards with friends, reading and writing poetry. Sandy was a member of St. Thomas More and sang in the church choir.

      Sandy is survived by her husband AL, stepson Tom (special friend Lillian) Paltzer, step daughter Tina (Kevin) Flaherty, grandchildren; Caitlin, Corey, and Sean Flaherty, siblings; Ken (special friend Nancy) Schnese, Sue Wankey, Curt (Bonnie) Schnese, Michelle (Kevin) Dolan, uncles; Carl and Larry Schnese, nieces and nephews; Tina (John), Scott (Amy), Lester, Deanna, Kim, Shari, Jodi, Brittany, Justin, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Jean, sisters-in-law; Betty Schnese, and Doris Schnese, and a brother-in-law Gary Wankey.

      The funeral liturgy for Sandy will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N. McDonald St. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home and at church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.
