    • OBITUARY Appleton Post-Crescent, 21 Apr 1923

      Mrs Gertrude Newhouse, 80, died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Adrians, 862 Fair St.

      Mrs. Newhouse was born in Germany and came to the United States when six months old. Sixty years ago she moved to Freedom but for the last fourteen years has made her home with her daughters, Mrs. R.W. Scholl and Mrs. Mary Adrians, both of Appleton. The survivors are one son, J.H. of Soo. Mich.; eight daughters, Mrs. Alice Adrians, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Anna McCarthy, Kaukauna; Mrs. Minerva Hansen, Eau Claire; Mrs. Margaret Glenz, Madison; Mrs. Dorothy McGilligan, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Helen Ball, Milwaukee; Mrs. Scholl and Mrs. Adrians, Appleton.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Nicholas church at Freedom.
