Phyllis M. Ott, age 84, of Kaukauna, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at her home. Phyllis was born on January 14, 1926, in Kimberly, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Frank and Ann Oudenhoven. She was united in marriage to Harold A. Ott and they lived in Forest Junction where she was the Postmaster until her retirement. Phyllis will be well remembered for her quilts and her paintings besides her knitting and crocheting. Many of her creations were often donated to those in need. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years.
Survivors include her husband, Harold; and seven children: Randy (Kathy) Ott, Donald Ott, Cherie (Jim) Miller, Raye Ann (E. Thomas) Robinson, Richard (Kassie) Ott, Reed (Pat) Ott and Robin (Mike) Sommerfeld; 18 grandchildren: Randy Jr., Mark, Ryon, Kristopher, Damon, Lori, Stacy, Katy, Melissa, Edward, Angela, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Trichia, Robert, Jessica, Tammy and Jason; and 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Richard (Arlene) Oudenhoven and a sister, Joyce Jansen as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joseph; grandson, Chad; and great-grandson, Eiji Thomas.
A celebration of Phyllis's life with be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Peace United Methodist Church, 2300 Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna, WI, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Friends and family may visit directly at the church from 12 noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Peace United Methodist Church for their building fund.
