Age 56, died Saturday, May 21, 1988, at Appleton Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born September 18, 1931, in Kaukauna, the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Jackels) Buchinger. He lived all of his life in Kaukauna and had been employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper for 17 years; prior to that he had farmed in the area. He was a member of the United Papermakers Local. Survivors include his wife, Jean (Arnoldussen) Buchinger; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Kari Buchinger, Scott Buchinger, all of Kaukauna, and Todd Buchinger, at home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and Tim Randt, Sylvia Kitterman, all of Kimberly, and Amy and Ray Peters, Kaukauna; four grandchildren, Tyler and Tabitha Buchinger, Nicholas and Adam Randt; five brothers and six sisters-in-law, John and Helen Buchinger, Carl and Marian Buchinger, all of Hollandtown, Mary and Dorothy Buchinger, Sherwood, Paul and Jeanette Buchinger, Hilbert, Leo and Rita Buchinger, and Beatrice Buchinger, all of Kaukauna; three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Catherine and Louis Seegers, Appleton, Mary Margaret and Bernard Schmidt, Isaar, Wisconsin and Barbara and Norbert Horn, Sherwood. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael. The funeral service will be at 12 noon Tuesday, May 24, 1988 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with Rev. John Hephner officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary cemetery. Friends may all at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna, from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:15 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in his name for St. Aloysius Parish.
