Age 84, died suddenly Tuesday, April 24, 1992 at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton. He was born March 19, 1908 in the Town of Lessor in Shawano County, the son of the late Carl and Frieda (Moeller) Roepcke. He was married on November 20, 1941 at the Cicero Lutheran Church, Town of Cicero, to Clara Ebben. The couple had lived in Calumet County since 1959 and had resided the past 12 years in Hilbert. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hilbert. He enjoyed woodworking and going to flea markets.
Survivors include his wife, Clara, two daughters; Cheri Steinfest, Chilton; Karen Nix; five sons and daughters in-law; Gary and Lori Roepcke, Springfield, Missouri; Vern and Jo Ann Roepcke, Hilbert; Bob and Alice Roepcke, Chilton; Keith and Linda Roepcke, Santa Fe, New Mexico; ken and Sheila Roepcke, Elkhart Lake; 19 grandchildren; a sister, Lena Eick, Appleton.
Preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Ronald Roepcke; a son in-law, Tom Steinfest.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, 1992 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hilbert with the Rev. Gene Kangas officiating. Spring burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 1992 at the Sansom Funeral Home, Hilbert and from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church on Friday.
