      August V. Pensis, 74, 1331 Bellevue St., 380 Huget, died unexpectedly Thursday at home. He was born May 24, 1906 in Green Bay, and had been a life long Green Bay resident. He married the former Mable Van Laanen, who preceded him in death October 11, 1977. Mr. Pensis was employed by the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier and retired in 1961. He was a member of the N.A.L.C.

      Survivors are one daughter and son in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. James [Mary Ellen] Leibergen; two grandaughters, Kay, and Laura, all of Green Bay; nieces and nephews.

      One brother and one sister preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Schauer and Schumacher East Side Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today. Parish wake service 7 this evening. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral with the Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Entombment in Shrine of Good Shepard Mausoleum.
