      Mrs. August Pensis, 69, 1331 Bellevue St. died Tuesday morning at a local hospital. The former Mabel Van Laanen was born July 31, 1908 in Bay Settlement and was a life long resident of the Green Bay area. Mrs. Pensis was a member of the Auxiliary of the N.A.L.C.

      Survivors include her husband: one daughter and son in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. James [Mary Ellen] Leibergen; two grandaughters, Kay, and Laura, all of Green Bay; five sisters, Mrs. George [Sophie] Weinfurter, Luxemburg; Mrs. Joseph [Grace] Wellens, Green Bay; Mrs. Willliam [Eunice] Clayton, Bremerton, Washington; Mrs. Donald [Lois] Weinfurter, Appleton; Mrs. Robert [Alma] Muraski, Green Bay; three brothers, Cyrus, Orville and Howard Van Laanen, all of Green Bay.


      Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death. Friends may call at the Schauer and Schumacher East Side Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Auxiliary of the N.A.L.C. Memorial service at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Entombment in Shrine of Good Shepard Mausoleum.
