    • Catherine A. Welhouse, 79 years, passed away September 21, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. She was born September 11, 1938 to her parents Alex and Caroline (Patch) Hopfensperger. Cathy was an employee of Presto Products and retired from there after 35 years of service as a Machine operator. She was a proud mother of three boys, Dick, David and Dean.

Cathy loved to go for walks, many times, for miles. She would go with her boys, or dogs or whoever was available. She would keep tabs on her son David by travelling to the Air Force bases where he was serving in the US Air Force. She was kept in great health and comfortable care by her son Dean, at the home on John St. Often she would be listening to Bob Seager music to relax at home. Cathy was always interested in hearing about the activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cathy will be missed by her sons David (Stephanie) Welhouse and Dean (Marisol) Welhouse, grandchildren Rick (Sandy) Welhouse, Becky (Lauren) Marshall, Alex Welhouse and Caroline Welhouse, great-grandchildren Dylan and Paige Welhouse; Zion, Chloe, and Caleb Cisneros; Trent and Nova Welhouse, siblings Marion (Floyd) Thibideau, Bill (Edna) Hopfensperger and Ronald (Marliea) Hopfensperger, and brother-in-law Orville Johann. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Alex and Caroline and her son Dick.

A Memorial Mass for Cathy will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton. Private inurnment St. Margaret Mary Cemetery. Family and friends may gather in the Sacred Heart Room on Thursday from 9 am until time of Mass.

A memorial in Cathy's name will be established.

Special thank you to all who cared for Cathy, especially Ronnie and Marliea Hopfensperger, Marion (Floyd) Thibideau and Mary Beth Matuzak.
