- Hietpas, Ethel (Thyssen) 1997 Appleton Post Crescent dated 8/7/1997; Mrs. Paul Hietpas, Ethel E., 10702 W. Rost Lake Rd. Coleman; Age 78, died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 6th, 1997 at home. The former Ethel Elizabeth Thyssen was born in February 24th, 1919 in Grand Chute, daughter of the late Walter and Mary Hendricks Thyssen. She was married to Paul A. Hietpas on February 14th, 1942 at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. Ethel was a sewing instructor for the village of Little Chute for many years and was employed at Bee Frank's shop as a seamstress for about 30 years. Mr. and Mrs. Hietpas resided at 120 Lincoln Ave, Little Chute before moving to Rost Lake in 1982. Ethel was a member of the Choir of SS. Francis and Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Klondike, where she was a very active member. She also was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute, where she was very active in church affairs. She is survived by her husband, Paul Hietpas, twin daughters Jacqueline (Lotus) Conrad, of Rochester Minnesota; and Janet and Donald Schultz, of Chilton; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Martin and Lillian Thyssen of Neenah; two brothers in law: John Linskins, of Appleton and; Lester Plutz, of Appleton; two sisters in law: Anita Thyssen and Harriet Thyssen, both of Appleton; and many nieces and nephews. Friends May call at SS. Francis and Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Klondike, from 9 until 11 a.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 9, 1997 at the church with Father John Hephner and Father Michael Clifford officiating. Internment will be in the St. John Catholic cemetery in Little chute.
