Mrs. Jacob Van Camp Sr.

Freedom
Age 77, died peacefully in her sleep at her residence Wednesday morning, September 17, 1986. She was born December 6, 1908 in Freedom, of the late Andrew and Mary (Schrool) Schuh. She married Jacob Van Camp on November 26, 1929. Jacob and Regina operated a small dairy and cash crop farm in the Freedom area all of their lives. She had been employed at the Wichmann Furniture Company for over 21 years, retiring in August of 1984. She was a life member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, it's Christian Mother's Society, and was very active in social and civic church activities. She was the founder, vic-president, secretary and tresurer of the Golden Agers of Freedom.
Survivors include her husband, Jacob; four daughters and sons in-law; Aurella and Robert Coenen, Freedom; Ginny and Willie Herrick, Appleton; Ann and Clair Forseth, Algoma; Mary Clair and Dan Kreutzberg, Crookston, Minnesota; two sons and daughters in-law; Jacob Jr. and Darlene, James and Janice, all of Freedom; a sister and brother in-law; Elaine and Roy Brandt, Black Creek; three brothers and two sisters in-law; Clarence and Margaret Schuh, Lawrence and Adelyn Schuh, all of Appleton; Ralph Schuh, Peoria, Illinois; two sisters in-law; Estella Schuh, Milwaukee; La Vern Schuh, Appleton; 41 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, John Coenen; and two brothers; William and Sylvester Schuh. the funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 1986 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom with Father Leander Nichols and Deacon Don Newhouse officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St. from 4 until 9 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday until the cortege leaves for the church. The Christian Mother's prayer service will be 7 p.m. Friday, followed by the parish prayer sevice at 8 p.m. A memorial fund is being established. Regina will be sadly missed by her family, co-workers, other relatives and friends.
