| Photos | ![]() | Dean Krueger July 16, 1959 ~ February 10, 2025 The good Lord called Dean Krueger, 65, home on February 10, 2025 with his kids wrapped in his loving arms. Dean was the kindest most gentle soul, always finding the good in life. Laid back and easy going. Never let anything bother him. He lived a simple life and didn’t need much to make him happy. He enjoyed just living. Dean grew up in the Town of Center graduating from Freedom High School in 1977. After graduating, he worked at a cheese factory for a few years before beginning his 37-year career at Kimberly Clark, where he retired. Dean had many passions throughout his life. He loved building his dream home on his own piece of paradise, spending time up north, hunting, ice fishing, gardening, and preserving his harvest through canning and freezing. He also enjoyed driving his Oliver 550 tractor, watching and feeding his beloved "birdies," and spending time with his siblings, friends, and family. Dean took great joy in bringing people together for a feast. Above all, his greatest joy came from his three children and three grandchildren. Dean is survived by his three loving children: Kyle Krueger, Deniece (Matt) Fredrich (Jett, Brixon, Vander), and Casey Krueger. His siblings: Jeanette (Carl) Hartzheim; David; Bob (special friend Val); Sue (Joe) Kamien; Joan (Carl) Coenen; Carol (Wayne) Van Camp; Tom (Lynn); Larry (Ellen); Dick (Vicki); Dale; Patti (Jeff) Gerdmann; and Bruce (Ann). He is further survived by his godchildren; Vander Fredrich, Chad Van Camp, Jenna VandeCorput, Kelly Dombrowski, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Naomi and his brothers, Donny and Jeff. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Familly Funeral Home Freedom Location, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. The family extends their deepest thanks to the wonderful staff at Froedert Medical Hospital, especially the nurses: "Morning" Joe, Troy, Rachel and Taylor. Dad, you took a piece of us with you. You were the best father who always put us first. Thank you for always loving and protecting us. We love you with all our hearts, and though we hurt deeply, we find comfort knowing you are in a better place. Rest in eternal peace, Dad. Until we meet again. Grandpa, you were the best grandfather three little boys could ever ask for. Thank you for sharing your life with us and for always loving us. We can't wait to see you again someday. We love and miss you so much. |
