    • LYONS - Bernice E. Mueller, 93, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010, at Memorial Hospital of Burlington. She was born October 31, 1916 in Appleton, to the late Frank and Edith (nee: Brouassa) Schiltz. Bernice spent her early life and received her education in Kimberly. On November 23, 1940 in Lake Geneva, Bernice was united in marriage to Walter F. Mueller. Walter preceded Bernice in death on July 12, 1990. Bernice had resided in Lyons for over 65 years. She had worked for Lavelle Industries for 26 years and was a member of Cross Lutheran Church. Bernice was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed crocheting and reading. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Survivors include her sisters, Frances Roskom of Green Bay and Renata Stencil of Florida; brothers, John (Alice) Nieft of Green Bay and Herb (Donna) Nieft of Grisham; and by sisters-in-law, Dorothy Nieft of Appleton, Carol Nieft of Green Bay and Bonnie Nieft of Illinois. Bernice is further survived by special friends, the Ron Mangold family and Terri Ehlen and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Vincent (Mag) Schiltz, Roger (Ruth) Schiltz, Alfred Nieft, George Nieft, Phillip Nieft and Robert Nieft; and by brothers-in-law, Jim Stencil and Andrew Roskom. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 9, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Carolyn Sellers officiating. Burial will follow at Hudson Cemetery in Lyons. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, August 8, at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home from 4 until 7 p.m. and on Monday, August 9, at Cross Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials have been suggested to Cross Lutheran Church. The family would like to express a special thank you to VNA Hospice and the staff at Burlington Hospital for all the care and compassion they gave Bernice.
