Age 74, died Wednesday, November 18, 1992 at the Appleton Medical Center following a short battle with cancer. She was born September 15, 1918 in Oneida, the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine [De Coster] Weneyberg. Loraine married Willard Carney on June 1, 1938 and that marriage was blessed with five children. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1992. She was an avid card player and gardener, and enjoyed cooking and doing crafts. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom; their Altar Society; the Lady Knights of Columbus and the Freedom Golden Agers.
She is survived by three sons and four daughters in-law, Tom and Carol Carney, Kimberly; Pat and Sherry Carney, Mike and Sandy Carney, all of Little Chute; Joanne [Gerald] Kieffer, Combined Locks; a daughter and son in-law, Donna and Glenn Muenster, Green Lake; 16 grandchildren; Mickey, Kim, Kristie, Kevin, Sarah, Kelley, Wendy, Stacy, Tyler, Travis, Bob, Lori, Tim, Lynn, Brian and Amy; six grea grandchildren; Nicole, Morgan, Ross, Joey, Arjay and Chelsey Ann; three brothers and five sisters in-law; Gordon and Joyce Weyenberg, Donald and Marie Weyenberg, all of Duck Creek; Milton and Margaret Weyenberg, Pulaske; Marie Weyenberg, Duck Creek;Ruth Weyenberg, Appleton; four sisters and three brothers in-law, Mary and Fred Botdorf, Fond du Lac; Virgie Willequette, Duck Creek; Della Welch, Kaukauna; Lucille and Ed Sobiek, Seymour; Harry De Vald, Duck Creek;
She was preceded in death by a son, Dan Carney, five brothers; Clarence, Willard, Mike, Alvin and Marvin Weyenberg; a sister, Evelyn De Valk.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, :November 20, 1992 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom with the Fathers Dennis Ryan and Willard Vande Loo concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Friends may call at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom from 2 p.m. on Friday until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in her name. There will be no visitation at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna.
