    • Eugene P. Wehrman, age 87, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI. He was born October 20, 1926 in Appleton, WI; son of Alvin and Bernice (Schroeder) Wehrman. In July 1947, Gene married Eileen M. Williams in Appleton, WI. He served as a radio control man in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He will be deeply missed by all of his loving family and friends. Gene is survived by his wife: Eileen Wehrman of Waupaca, WI; son: David (Linda) Wehrman of Seattle, WA; grandchildren: Mike (Kristen) Wehrman of Kirkland, WA; Kristin (Brian) Knutson of Sioux Falls, SD; Shannon Wehrman of Kirkland, WA; Mark (Heather) Hafferman of Waupaca, WI; and Mike (Danielle) Hafferman of Waupaca, WI; great-grandchildren: Kayla, Sarah, and Andrew Knutson; Emma and Katie Wehrman; and Gavin and Taylor Hafferman. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Bernice Wehrman; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Gregory Hafferman; and a sister, Caryl Wehrman. A Celebration of Gene's Life will be on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 11:00 - 2:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. Full military honors will be performed after the memorial visitation on Saturday at the funeral home. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
