Notes - Grace Sophia Wittmann, age 84, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully at Theda Care Hospital in Neenah on Thursday, March 30, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 8, 1932 in the Town of Harrison, daughter of Paul and Ella Apitz. She met her husband, Roland Wittmann at a wedding where both were attendants. They married on August 31, 1950 and celebrated forty-six years of marriage before he passed away in 1997.
Grace enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping, and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four children: Dave, Darrel (Donna), and Rick Wittmann, and Linda (Rich) Cummings, and four grandchildren: Michael and Emily Wittmann, and Alex and Jordan Cummings. Grace is further survived by a brother Frederick (Joyce), and sister-in-law Lois, and brother-in-law Ron (Shirley) Wittman, in addition to several nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Apitz, brother-and sister-in-law Robert (Dolores) Wittmann and a niece.
The Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Katherine Drexel Parish St. Mary Site, 119 W. Seventh Street in Kaukauna. Visitation will be held on Wednesday starting at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at St. Mary Cemetery in Kaukauna.
