- Robert 'Bob' Murphy
Appleton - 86, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2018. Bob was born on March 1, 1932 to the late Robert and Mary Murphy. He married Betty Ann Dagneau on December 29, 1953. They raised their 3 sons in Appleton and eventually settled in Greenville.
Bob served his country during the Korean War. Upon returning in 1956 he began his career with Murphy Concrete and Construction (MCC) where he and his siblings worked together to build a successful construction company in the Fox Valley area.
Bob is survived by his sons: Rob (Barbara) Murphy and Bill (Cathy) Murphy; three grandchildren: Sam (Savannah), Anne and Morgan; two great grandchildren: Jaeley and Cahira and Bob's sister Arlene Gage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty in 2002 and his son Rick in 2014. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers: Orville, Richard and Francis (Hunce).
Bob and Betty enjoyed spending time with family and friends in Eagle River, WI and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
A special thanks to Jean Goaley, his loving and devoted friend who brought kindness, support and love.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the entire staff at Touchmark where Bob spent his final years. Your loving care and compassion are greatly appreciated.
The family will be honoring Bob's final wish for no funeral service. May he rest in peace.
