- Kaster, Mildred M.
Mildred M. Kaster, 83, formerly of Green Bay, passed away at St. Marys Home in Manitowoc o n Holy Saturday, April 10, 2004. She had been residing in Manitowoc for the past three years . Mildred was born Nov. 19, 1920, in the Town of Lawrence, to the late Albert and Mary (Van D e Hey) Bries. On Dec. 30, 1941, she married Martin S. Kaster. He preceded her in death on Eas ter Sunday, March 30, 1986. Mildred was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay a nd a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was a good Mom with a great sense of humor, an d a friendly, warm smile.
She is survived by her children, Martin Jay and Debbie, Howard, Wis.; Richard and Nancy Rae , Oneida; Sr. Marsaia, Manitowoc; and Nancy A. Kaster, Pittsfield; and a very special daughte r-in-law, Nancy Marie Kaster, De Pere; her grandchildren, Daun and Fred Heilmann, Green Bay ; Steven and Kerri Kaster, Pittsfield; Jenny and Jon Morrow, Menasha; Amy Kaster and partner , Dale Leibowitz, Madison; Robert Kaster, Steamboat Springs, Colo.; Holly Kaster and Patric k Schroeder, Shorewood; Wendy and Mark Nysted, Green Bay; and Trudy Propson, Appleton; her se ven great-grandchildren, Alex, Brittanny, Taylor, Kolbi, Logan, Mason and Dylan. She is furth er survived by her siblings and Martins siblings, Norbert and Dolly Bries, Green Bay; Sherma n and Ruth Bries, Madison; Byron and Kathleen Bries, Madison; Gerald Bries, Green Bay; Doroth y Bries, Denmark; Tina Bries, Manitowoc; Judy Bries, Minnesota; Sylvester and Leona Kaster, S teve and Betz Kaster, Green Bay; Raymond Kaster, California; Eugene and Bonnie Kaster, Califo rnia; Sr. Eugenia Kaster, Racine; Edna Kaster, Detroit; Irene Kaster, Joan Kaster, Green Bay ; Jane Kaster, De Pere; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Oliver, John, Donald and Robert Bries; sister -in-law, Marcie Bries; Kaster brothers and sisters-in-law, Norbert, John, Arnold, Henry and B eatrice, Richard, and Ellen, Therese Johnson; and son-in-law, Donald Propson.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home & Crematory, 1630 E. Mason St., on Wednesday fro m 4 to 8 p.m. Rosary, led by the Franciscan Sisters, will be said at 7 p.m. Visitation will c ontinue on Thursday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., from 9:30 un til the time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Len Ever s and the Rev. Jim Hablewitz officiating. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
A memorial fund will be established in Mildred's name.
