Age 57, died Thursday, January 14, 1999, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born May 5, 1941, in Kaukauna, daughter of the late James and Nellie [Fueller] Knott. On November 19, 1981 she married Merlin Robert Boettcher in Chilton. Carol worked at various jobs throughout the area.
Survivors include her husband, Merlin; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Kevin Micke, Kaukauna; four sons and three daughters in-law, Gene Boehnlein, Appleton; Dan Doehnlein, Kaukauna; Andy and Sandy Boehnlein, Appleton; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Judy Schmidt, California; four brothers and three sisters in-law, Arthur and Delores Knott, Albert and Lois Knott, Orville Knott, and John and Nancy Knott, all of Kaukauna.
Carol was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, January 18, 1999 at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion with the Rev. Gregory Colegrove officiating. Burial will be in the Brillion City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
